RE: Arizona - Oak Creek Canyon - Sedona - Jerome - Prescot.

How about hwy 89 from Prescot to Congress - anybody?Don't take 89 (White Spar road) from Prescott to Congress, there is a length restriction.
Instead take Iron Springs road (10) down through Skull Valley to Kirkland. Make a left at the stop sign to Kirkland junction then make a right at the stop sign back onto 89 and to Congress.

RE: Prescott Valley, AZ

Take I-40 to Ashfork, then 89 South, then 89A East to Glassford Hills rd,follow Glassford hills Road to Hwy69. When you get to Glassford it's the backside of Prescott Valley. Watch your speed while in Prescott Valley!!!!!

RE: Ruby's Inn, Utah campground Q's. Best RV spot(s)? *UPDATE!*

We stayed at Ruby's on July 1st. Spot 105. I have an Inferno 42.5ft no problem.
The Tropic Resevoir was nice. We rode over to it. Lots of camping there, just no electric. Don't know if there is a strict quiet time that would prohibit generator use.
Quiet hrs between 10pm and 7am no generators.
If boondocking around the resevoir you could probably run it without any trouble.

RE: Best way to lock cupboard doors?

We've never had a problem with the cabinets but the pantry would be open when we got to camp. I bought the childproof locks...no more open pantry.

RE: AZ-89 NEED SOME INFO BEFORE TAKING ROUTE

What about if we take the I-15 through Barstow and take the I-40 through Needles and cut down the 89 toward Ashfork into Prescott...our final destination is Lynx Lake. ??? Is that a straighter path? Thanks for all your details, I am going to let my Mom know about I-17...she was going to take that route up there to meet us pulling a 18' trailer with her suburban.
89 From Ashfork to Prescott is a good 2 lane road (truck route from 40)
You could also go the way NevadaJim said but come up the back way thru Kirkland Junction 96 to Kirkland to Skull Valley, that will bring you into Prescott on Iron Springs Road. This is the route we take when coming from that direction.

RE: Ruby's Inn, Utah campground Q's. Best RV spot(s)? *UPDATE!*

Can't help you with Rubys...but when we go up there we stay at the King Creek Campground. It's over by the Tropic Reservoir, a nice NF campground, no hookups but water and dump available. You can ride right out of camp, lots of critter viewing early in the morning and just before dark. Not to mention the brazillion nice free spots up that valley
Yep...and there are some beautiful spots, nice and quiet.
I believe you can still get water and dump at the campground.

RE: how much do you trust the next guy?

99% of the time we never give it a thought, but after last night we will be sure to bring valuables (small generator)in at night.
Had some young guy in our camp last night at 2:30am????
We are boondocking in the forest, been here 3 days. This is a place we go to often. They pulled in yesterday afternoon...they hadn't seen our Dogs...dogs alerted us and the young guy got to meet Sarge and Mr.Glock

Now your ready for our riding season.

Doug
